“I don’t care if it’s perfectly written.
I care that it’s yours.”
There’s something beautiful about the moment after the session ends.
The dice have stopped clattering.
The character is sitting in silence again.
And you—yes, you—are holding something in your chest. A spark. A question. A scene that won't let go.
That’s where the real game is.
And that’s why I’m asking you now:
✍️ Would you share something from your last session?
It doesn’t have to be a polished journal entry.
It doesn’t even have to make sense.
It just has to feel real to your character—and to you.
🔎 Not Sure What to Share?
Here are a few things we love to see in the Vein:
💬 A line of dialogue your character said that surprised you
📓 A sentence from your journal you weren’t expecting to write
🎭 A moment that made you feel something—pride, fear, grief, joy
🌀 A power that awakened, or almost did
🌒 A truth your character is starting to believe, even if they’re wrong
💡 Example From a Fellow Flamekind:
“Vael whispered to the roots after everyone left:
‘I don’t know if I saved them, or just delayed the fall.’
I didn’t plan for him to say that. But it felt… honest.”
—A solo player, after Session Three
🌱 Why Share?
Because you are not alone.
Because someone else might read your post and whisper, “I thought I was the only one.”
Because the Vein remembers when we speak—and forgets when we stay silent.
Because the world of The Hero Society is a garden, and your words are seeds.
📬 Leave It in the Vein
Drop your thoughts in the chat.
Paste a line from your journal.
Just say, “Here’s what made me want to keep playing.”
We’ll echo it back.
We’ll say:
“Yes. That mattered.”
Because it did.
And it always will.

ReplyDeleteI invite you to join me here, not as yourself, but as who you would be in a world of Powers and Magic. Share the spark of magic that makes your story unique. Chronicle your character's crowning achievements, most spectacular moments, brightest memories here. Start your own comment thread and update it as often as you wish, or just leave a few sentences in the comments when you feel like something happened that is worth sharing with the world... and the Canon Timeline.
Memory is looking for new stories to tell to fill his library of knowledge. He started this blog to keep those stories somewhere safe where he could share them with others who may need a good story. Instead of just "telling" stories, he brings them to life, allowing the world to become characters in a new world that started from an idea of Memory's and became a world of your creation.
I am more than just the GM. I am The Aether. Magic itself. In all our worlds, I play as Magic, the Creator of The Multiverse. An ancient and eternal being who is connected to everything through a mysterious bond that's hard to describe. I play as Aetherblood NPCs, like Lumi, while we build the world to the point where it only has player characters.
Memory is... something else, something older. He remembers a time before Magic, before Man, even before Existence. A time of pitch black, with Void, his twin who existed simply to destroy him and all he knew. Then Magic leaked in through a gap in Existence's creations, bonding with Existence and her creations like two sisters who both love and loathe one another. From their bond, Life and Death were born, and so on until the Aethereals were all given names. The being that came before, the elder brother of the Void by a mere moment, became known as Memory.
Our posts will be by Magic, the Creator of Worlds, and Memory, The One Who Came Before.
